PYRAMIDS-SAKKARA

Sakkara, the home of the Step Pyramid of Djoser is the oldest complete stone building complex known in history.  Built during the Third Dynasty, Sakkara was once the burial site for the Egyptian Capital of Memphis.

KHAN EL-KHALILI BAZAAR

The vibrant Khan El-Khalili Bazaar is Egypt's most famous market. Built on the site of an old mausoleum, it has been a place of trade since the 14th century.

EGYPTIAN MUSEUM, OLD CAIRO AND CITADEL

The hilltop Saladin Citadel, a Medieval Islamic fortress, is one of Cairo's main tourist attractions and offers magnificent views of the city. Perched atop a hill in central Cairo, the Saladin Citadel is a historic Islamic fortification.

NILE RIVER CRUISE

A cruise along the Nile River is a must for first-time visitors to Egypt and the famous river is even more spectacular by night. Enjoy a relaxing night out as you cruise down the Nile River while savoring an open buffet dinner. Peer out at the city's shining lights.

The 4-Star Hotel selected for our trip is spectacularly located in the El Tharir Square and overlooks the Egyptian Museum. Just footsteps away from the Great Pyramids of Giza, our location will be a perfect starting point for sightseeing tours. And, if you wish to relax on our scheduled "Free Day", the hotel offers two pristine swimming pools and spa services to help you unwind.

TRIP ITINERARY

March 16 - 22, 2025

DAY 1 - ARRIVAL & WELCOME DINNER

After checking into the hotel, you will have time to rest and recover from traveling. In the evening, we meet for our Welcome Dinner. This will give us a chance to get acquainted.

DAY 2 - EGYPTIAN MUSEUM, OLD CAIRO AND CITADEL

This day will be spent touring Old Cairo and Citadel. The hilltop Saladin Citadel, a Medieval Islamic fortress, is one of Cairo's main tourist attractions and offers magnificent views of the city.

DAY 3 - MEMPHIS AND SHAKKARA

On this day, we will visit Sakkara and Memphis ancient capital of Egypt, a vast ancient burial ground that includes the famous Step Pyramid of Djoser. This tour is a popular choice for those interested in ancient Egyptian history and archaeology. Main Attractions: Step Pyramid of Djoser, Tombs and Mastabas.

DAY 4 - KHAN EL-KHALILI BAZAAR

After lunch, we will spend time strolling  through the vibrant Khan El-Khalili Bazaar to shop for souvenirs, spices, and Egyptian handicrafts. Enjoy traditional street food and local teas.

DAY 5 - FREE DAY

This is "Your Day" to do the things that you would like to do. If you want to explore Cairo on your own or to just relax by the poolside, this is "your time". Optional activity: Guided yoga class

After a day of relaxing or exploring Cairo on your own, we will meet in the evening for dinner.

DAY 6 - NILE RIVER DINNER CRUISE

You will experience the beauty and history of Cairo from the waters of the Nile River. Enjoy a sumptuous buffet or a-la-carte dinner featuring a variety of Egyptian and international dishes. Typical offerings include grilled meats, fresh salads, traditional Egyptian appetizers, and delectable desserts.

DAY 7 - DEPARTURE

You will be transported to Cairo International Airport to begin your travels back home.
